Lusona is supporting one of our Global manufacturing clients in Renfrewshire to source suitable applicants for the post of Project & Systems Finance Manager. As a key part of the Finance Team, the Systems & Projects Finance Manager will be responsible for developing systems and processes to ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial and non-financial data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used to inform the business.
The focus of this role in the short to medium term will be supporting the implementation of a new ERP system across the group. The role will represent the finance function to ensure that the system design will deliver the most efficient and accurate ERP solution.
The main duties will include:
- Collaborating with finance, budget holders and IT to understand and identify function and business requirements
- Ensuring the design and implementation deliver internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data
- Testing systems design and performance, identifying system issues and process inefficiency and suggesting improvements required
- Producing professional documentation of systems requirements, processes and policies, including implementation and testing plans and training manuals
- Developing and training finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function
- Working with the finance team and budget holders to design and develop both internal and external management reporting to better inform the business
- On an ongoing basis, supporting any system upgrades considering finance requirements as well as ensuring the internal control systems are maintained.
It is essential that applicants have a relevant professional accounting qualification and will have experience in leading the finance team through the implementation of a system. Candidates must be confident, self-motivated and resilient with the ability to proactively identify issues and drive the delivery of solutions.
