  • Review structural calculations, technical drawings and supplier submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with quality assurance procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with site visits, design reviews and technical coordination activities as required.
  • Support and mentor graduate and early-career engineers.
  • Contribute to technical excellence initiatives, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients, contractors and key project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable structural design experience within at least one of the following sectors: power and energy, industrial, transportation, defence, commercial or infrastructure.
  • Progressing towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status through ICE, IStructE or an equivalent professional body.
  • Experience using structural analysis and design software such as MasterSeries, STAAD or Tedds.
  • Strong understanding of Eurocodes, British Standards and CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • UK-based structural engineering project experience gained through employment, graduate programmes or internships.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance where required.

Benefits

  • Company car or car allowance
  • Annual bonus (based on performance)
