Lusona is recruiting an experienced Stamp Taxes Senior Manager for an exceptional opportunity within a leading UK Deals Tax practice.

This is a specialist advisory role at the heart of the transactions market, providing exposure to M&A, real estate transactions, corporate reorganisations, capital raisings and some of the UK's most significant corporate and investment activity.

The client base is equally diverse, spanning multinational organisations, private equity investors, major corporates, financial services businesses, start-ups and privately owned businesses.

The role

Working as a senior member of a national Stamp Taxes network, you will advise clients across Stamp Duty, Stamp Duty Reserve Tax and property transaction taxes, with responsibilities including:

• Leading the delivery of Stamp Taxes advice on complex transactions
• Undertaking tax due diligence and identifying transaction-related risks and opportunities
• Advising on efficient deal structures and available tax reliefs
• Supporting clients through corporate reorganisations
• Advising on IPOs and capital raisings
• Supporting pre and post-acquisition restructuring
• Reviewing transaction documentation to ensure proposed structures are correctly implemented
• Managing relationships with clients, lawyers and other professional advisers
• Developing new client propositions and opportunities
• Contributing to the continued growth of the wider Stamp Taxes practice

The role offers considerable autonomy and the opportunity to become a key adviser on complex, high-value transactions.

Person specification

You will ideally possess:

• CA, ACA, ACCA, CTA, Solicitor or equivalent experience
• Strong Stamp Taxes technical expertise
• Experience managing complex advisory projects
• Strong client relationship management skills
• An established internal and external professional network
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to deliver against demanding transaction deadlines
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
