Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be managing a strategic hire for a Senior Management Accountant based in City Centre Glasgow. Our client are a leading professional services business with a luxury brand and ambitious growth plans as the business continues to scale and evolve. This is a newly created opportunity in a fast paced, commercial environment reporting to the Financial Controller for the group. The opportunity offers a competitive salary from £52,000 - £60,000 per annum plus a generous bonus scheme, private health care, 5% employer pension contribution and 33 days annual leave.
The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for providing commercial analysis across operations and deliver business growth across a multi-site environment. You will work collaboratively across operations, advising management on financial planning, forecasting and spend whilst interpreting the figures and preparing clear narrative reports. The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, manage cash-flow and working capital. Additionally our client are embarking on systems change and enhancing reporting capability and the Senior Management Accountant will actively contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of financial systems across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing monthly management accounts with associated commentary and performance analysis
- Working with management to understand numbers and help navigate operational challenges through meaningful MI
- P&L, Balance sheet and month-end activities
- Dashboard reporting and providing valuable insight to support commercial decision making
- Overseeing budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare Statutory/Year-end accounts and audit schedules
- Focus on continuous improvement across systems, processes and people
