Management Accountant – Inverclyde

Lusona is supporting our client in the service sector based in Inverclyde to source suitable applicants for the post of Management Accountant. We are seeking a talented and experienced finance professional to play a key role in the company’s success. Preferably a professionally qualified accountant, you will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to empower the leadership team.

What you will do:

1. Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
2. Reconciliation of Balance Sheet control accounts.
3. Preparation of monthly VAT returns.
4. Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
5. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
6. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
7. Support financial planning and decision-making processes.
8. Submission of 3^rd party statistics, e.g., ONS
9. Stay up to date on accounting regulations and best practices.

What you will bring:

1. Ideally, you will be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS)
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Excellent communication and people skills
5. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
