Your new role

You will join the business as a Senior Credit Controller, operating in a standalone capacity with full ownership of the credit control function. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining cash flow, managing aged debt, and ensuring robust credit processes.

This is a hands-on position requiring confidence, accountability, and the ability to operate independently while engaging with key stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of the end-to-end credit control process
  • Proactive management of aged debt and cash collection targets
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Liaising with senior members of staff to resolve complex account queries
  • Monitoring customer credit limits and risk exposure
  • Producing regular reports on debtor performance for senior leadership
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly experienced credit professional with a proactive and resilient approach.

  • Approximately 15+ years’ experience in credit control
  • Proven ability to operate independently in a standalone role
  • Strong relationship management skills, both internally and externally
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and self-motivated
  • A “hands-on” mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks forward
  • Experience within a fast-paced or demanding environment is highly advantageous
