Big 4 opportunity for a Senior Tax Advisor to join their FS Tax team in Edinburgh. This is your chance to be directly involved with complex and valued compliance and reporting projects on behalf of high-profile clients from banking, asset management and insurance sectors.
How does this opportunity differ from others? This team is not an extension of a London-centric function, instead they are embedded at the heart of client relationships, decision making and autonomy for the FS tax practice. Additionally, the team works collaboratively across all levels so you will regularly find yourself working alongside Partners, Directors and Senior Managers to meet Client needs. The team also pride themselves on successful Agile working and maintaining work life balance.
Predominately project-based, this varied role provides the opportunity to broaden your tax technical knowledge and work with some of the most well-known financial services companies across Scotland, the UK and beyond. Responsibilities may include tax reporting, compliance, due diligence, and related advisory work and you will be encouraged to work cross-sector within a collaborative and supportive tax team. Client relationships will be at the heart of everything that you do, and you will enjoy maintaining your tax technical knowledge by keeping abreast of relevant tax concepts affecting your clients and the sector.
You will be a nearly or newly qualified accountant or tax professional (CA/CTA/ACCA/ACA) with an inquiring mind and exceptional communication skills. There is no requirement to have previous financial services tax exposure; instead, the hiring managers are focused on finding ambitious individuals with core corporation tax skills and reporting knowledge. This is a chance to embrace a new challenge and leverage existing skills previously gained within a mid-tier or Big 4 tax team, in-house tax team, or HMRC. You must be a highly organised individual who approaches their work with an enthusiastic and commercial mindset.
