Lusona are working with our Professional Services client to source suitable applicants for the role of Senior Cloud Engineer. Collaborating with senior management you will lead the improvement of the business’ end to end cloud infrastructure from planning, through to installation, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the optimisation of the business’ IT infrastructure
- Highlighting any infrastructure issues and ensuring resolutions are made in a timely manner
- Overseeing the planning and maintenance of infrastructure improvements via components and services provided
- Reviewing any incidents in relation to service level agreements
- Ensuring the infrastructure team meet the expectations of the business from a service and operational perspective and communicate accordingly to the stakeholders
Applicants should hold a degree in computer science/software engineering and have appropriate experience working within a cloud environment. From a technical perspective you will have strong system administration experience via Linux/Unix, Windows, SQL. You will also be confident in transforming legacy systems to cloud services (PAAS, SAAS, IAAS). Likewise, you will have a passion for automation via the use of tools such as Terraform, CHEF, Puppet. Similarly, you will have the ability to develop RESTful and API interfaces. It is also important for applicants to have strong scripting skills and knowledge of high-level programming languages such as (C#, Java, Python, Powershell). You will be able to maintain an analytical mindset whilst working towards conflicting deadlines.
