Senior Associate, Employment Law (5+ PQE)

Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Full-Time

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its highly regarded Employment team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate (5+ years' PQE) to work within a successful and growing practice advising a diverse portfolio of employer clients across both private and public sectors. 

The Opportunity

Joining a busy and collaborative team, you will manage a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for employer clients across a range of sectors including education, transport, construction, manufacturing, food and drink, aviation, arts and public sector organisations. 

The role offers exposure to a varied caseload, including:

• Employment Tribunal litigation and advocacy
• Discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims
• Redundancy and restructuring projects
• TUPE matters
• Disciplinary and grievance issues
• Senior executive advisory work
• Complex workplace and HR advisory matters

You will also play an active role in business development, client relationship management, and supporting the development of junior team members.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years' PQE, with substantial experience in employment law
• Strong technical expertise across a broad range of employment matters
• Experience handling Employment Tribunal claims from inception to conclusion
• Excellent drafting and advocacy skills
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management abilities
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice
• Experience supervising, mentoring and developing junior colleagues
• An interest in contributing to business development and profile-raising activities
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
