Rural Property Solicitor
Location: Stirling/Ayrshire (Hybrid/Flexible Working Available) Salary: Competitive DOE + Benefits
An established and highly regarded Scottish legal practice is seeking a Rural Property Solicitor to join its growing rural team.
Due to a significant increase in transactional activity across the agricultural sector, the firm is looking to recruit an additional solicitor to support a busy and expanding workload involving the purchase and sale of farms, estates, agricultural land and rural properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in rural property transactions or for a commercially minded property solicitor with the aptitude and enthusiasm to quickly develop specialist expertise in this area.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced rural property team, advising a diverse client base including farmers, landowners, rural businesses and private individuals. The workload will include:
- Buying and selling farms, agricultural land and rural properties
- Rural conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Transfers of title and security work
- Executry-related property transactions
- General private client conveyancing matters
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professional advisers
This is a varied role combining highly detailed legal work with the pace and responsiveness required to deliver complex transactions within demanding timescales.
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Qualified as a Solicitor in Scotland
- Post-qualified experience in property law and conveyancing
- Previous rural property experience is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- The ability to manage a busy and fast-paced caseload
- A practical, client-focused approach
- A willingness and aptitude to develop specialist knowledge in rural and agricultural property matters
