Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be working with our highly reputable client in the legal sector who are looking to recruit a Revenue Controller to join the team on a permanent basis, to be based in either their Glasgow or Edinburgh office.
This role will report into the Senior Manager - Working Capital and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller and/or Billing professional looking to take that next step in their career.
The Role
You will take ownership of working capital management across key practice areas, ensuring effective financial oversight and control. The role involves partnering with senior stakeholders and colleagues to support all financial processes, including billing, credit control, and client account reconciliations.
- Drive working capital performance across key practice areas
- Partner with senior stakeholders to improve financial control and efficiency
- Monitor billing, WIP and receivables, ensuring deadlines are met
- Support forecasting, reporting, and delivery of meaningful MI
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Build strong relationships through clear, confident communication
- Apply sound commercial judgement and make effective decisions
- Support and develop colleagues across the wider team
- Maintain strong knowledge of financial processes and relevant regulations
Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong working capital expertise within a legal environment is essential
- Solid understanding of legal financial requirements and processes
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to drive financial performance
- Confident decision-maker, able to challenge and operate effectively in demanding situations
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven with a proactive, hands-on approach
