Reference Data Manager required for the rapidly expanding Reference Data Operations team of this Glasgow based corporate.  As a result of recent market events, the team is going through unprecedented regulatory and business change.  As a result, several projects have commenced to improve the groups’ operating model, business processes and system capabilities

As an integral part of the enablement team, you will support the reference data programme. You will  assist in driving the direction and lead multi-faceted teams globally with Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers to support changes within client reference data systems relating to account and party data.

This role is all about…

  • Drive data and strategy renovations related to Client Reference Data supporting the Reference Data Operations team.
  • Deliver on the client reference data strategy by ensuring seamless transition of client reference data from trusted data sources to data consumers.
  • Lead your team to deliver functional enhancements in timely and efficient manner, and in-line with the team strategy.
  • Create effective and timely Technology based solutions to serve the business needs
  • Manage sprints from idea creation through deployment including identifying client need, designing and validating concepts, developing epics and user stories, and managing to a budget.
  • Develop comprehensive user stories documentation and lead overall execution with Technology and Testing partners.
  • Participate in requirements elaboration and design sessions with Operations and technology partners.
  • Liaise with Legal, Risk, and Compliance partners on topics related to risk mitigation, audit, and policies & procedures.
  • Build relationships and gain consensus with key partners and clients.

You will be an accomplished Data Manager professional with experience in change and projects. You will ideally have hands-on experience working in an Agile environment within a large-corporate setting with a good working knowledge of cutting-edge technology and the ability to define practical technology-based solutions for addressing business problems. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies

  • Analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage resources to achieve best outcome
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act as a bridge between Technology, Operations and Client reference data stakeholders/Consumers.
