The Opportunity

A leading UK law firm—renowned for its high‑calibre Real Estate practice and top-tier rankings in major legal directories—is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join its busy and growing Commercial Property team.

This role sits within the Living Sector, offering exposure to a wide range of high‑value and impactful housing delivery projects across public and private sector clients. You’ll work on transactions involving acquisitions, disposals, funding, and development structures, playing a key role in enabling residential projects across all tenures.

This position provides the chance to work alongside market‑leading partners and senior lawyers in one of Scotland’s strongest real estate teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting for major real estate clients across multiple sectors
• Leading on project documentation for residential delivery transactions
• Managing your own matters and supporting junior team members
• Negotiating and implementing the full range of contractual documents
• Developing strong client relationships with agents, developers, and investors
• Contributing to business development and wider firm initiatives
• Providing commercially pragmatic advice in a fast‑paced environment

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in commercial property
• Strong interest in the property industry and its commercial drivers
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transactional skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Ability to handle competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
• Commercially minded with good judgment and attention to detail
• Collaborative and self‑motivated approach
