A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate lawyer to join its highly regarded property practice in Edinburgh. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor with significant Scottish real estate experience to work on high-profile investment, development and asset management transactions across a diverse range of sectors.
The Opportunity
Joining a market-leading team, you will advise a broad client base including institutional investors, private equity funds, international investors and high-net-worth individuals on complex and strategically important real estate matters. The work spans the full lifecycle of commercial property assets, with exposure to investment acquisitions and disposals, development projects, leasing and asset management matters.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions while collaborating closely with specialists across construction, planning, banking, tax, corporate and dispute resolution teams.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Investment acquisitions and disposals
- Commercial leasing and asset management transactions
- Lease renewals, re-gears and variations
- Title investigations and due diligence exercises
- Advising on development and regeneration projects
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to business development initiatives and market engagement activities
About You
Applications are welcomed from qualified Scottish solicitors with approximately 8+ years' PQE and strong experience in commercial real estate matters.
You will demonstrate:
- Excellent knowledge of Scottish real estate law
- A pragmatic and commercially focused approach
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Outstanding client relationship management abilities
- Confidence handling matters independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
