Our client is a leading engineering business that as a result of some recent changes need to appoint an ambitious Quality/Weld Inspector.

Reporting to the Operations Manager your role will be to provide support to the QHSE Manager in the monitoring & improvement of processes across the quality function. You will also provide inspection and play an active part in the HSE services for the site. Specifically you shall;

• Inspect incoming Material ensuring P.O. requirements are satisfied
• Welding administration WPS’s, PQR’s, Welder Quals – Welding sheets
• Monitoring welding processes (technical input)
• WF Quality Plan preparation as required
• Fitting inspection
• Represent the firm at technical meetings with suppliers & customers (including site visits as required)
• Assist in maintenance of QMS
• Internal Quality Audits
• Process Improvements activity, monitoring etc.
• Produce, review and administer H&S Risk Assessments including Task, COSHH & DSEAR.

It is expected that you shall have a background in engineering/Quality/Inspection and have hands on weld inspection experience. Exposure to technical evaluations and quote prep would be beneficial. You will have had mainline systems experience, as well as be proficient in the MS suite of programs. NEBOSH certification would be advantageous.
