Property Energy Solicitor

LinkedIn ShareShare

A new opportunity for a Solicitor to join the Property Energy team within this global law firm. Applicants will ideally have 1-3 years of relevant PQE gained within commercial property or renewables and the role could be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh with flexible working. Scottish qualified lawyers with additional experience in dealing with English work would be of particular interest.

This firm has one of the largest teams of dedicated property lawyers in the UK specialising in energy sector work.  Clients include the developers, funders and investors involved in energy projects across the UK (including onshore windfarms, offshore windfarms, development of district energy centres and district heating networks, hydro projects, new gas-fired power stations, biomass plants, solar farms and the energy networks which support such projects).  Their breadth of experience coupled with specialist knowledge means that, whether they are advising on a complex multi-million pound energy project or the acquisition, funding or sale of an asset, their clients receive the legal support they require, when and how they want it – often coupled with other legal services delivered by colleagues as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team specialising in energy and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and dynamic team and encounter a broad range of energy and infrastructure property work, acting for a range of high profile clients on large and nationally significant energy and infrastructure transactions. In particular, you can expect to work on wind (on and offshore), solar, hydro and nuclear transactions in the energy sphere and road, rail and ports and other major infrastructure projects, acting for a mix of clients, including public authorities, developers, investors, funders and utility companies.
