Project Accountant
Glasgow
Salary up to £55K (DOE) + Hybrid Working

Lusona are working exclusively with our client in the technical services sector for the role of Project Accountant. This is an exciting time to be joining this global company as they go through a further period of expansion, where Glasgow remains the hub for the group.

You will be responsible for the financial controls and reporting aspects of all UK based operational projects, where you will interact with the production team and project managers accordingly. Reporting to the head of finance, your responsibilities will include:

• Creating forecasting on a weekly basis and variance analysis
• Contributing to the end-to-end project accounting, from reconciling project costings into management accounts to analysis overall project performance
• Analysing profit and loss and liaising with project managers  
• Supporting stock counts
• Continuously improving controls and process across the business by collaborating with project managers and senior stakeholders
• Enhancing reporting and process improvements from local to group level

Applicants will ideally be a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA). However, those who are qualified by experience, as well those who are currently studying towards their professional qualification will also be considered. Above all, you will be a rounded individual with strong excel skills, who has an inquisitive mindset to carry out in depth analysis and has the confidence and drive to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
