Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer, who on the back of significant business growth need to strengthen their existing production team.

You shall reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, and will be responsible for around 40 members of the production team nightly. The role shall be varied, but essentially you are responsible for ensuring that all production targets are met on time, on cost, within set quality parameters and all health & safety standards. More specifically you shall;

• Identify and, where appropriate, manage agreed continuous improvement actions within the manufacturing area.
• Ensure that all manufacturing disciplines, standards and performance objectives are adhered to by all personnel in the manufacturing area.
• Ensure Manufacturing Manager is advised accordingly of all issues affecting the supply of components to customers and where appropriate a corrective plan of action.
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of work schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure all direct reports possess the necessary skills to meet the manufacturing targets, identifying training needs as required.
• Ensure that all members of the manufacturing team are kept informed of their productivity performance against set performance targets.
• Manage people issues such as Training, Motivation, Shift Planning, Holiday Planning, Absence etc.

It is expected that you shall have a background in engineering workshops, have previous experiences of CNC machines, as well as having previous management experience.
