Your new company are a leading name in fluid control solutions and they are seeking a dynamic and driven Production Manager to join their growing team in Glasgow.
With a global footprint and a reputation for excellence in the design, manufacture, and installation of penstocks and valves for water treatment plants, the company are entering an exciting new chapter following its acquisition by a publicly listed company.

Your new role
As Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and scaling the production function. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:
- Lead a team of 10 skilled professionals, with plans to double headcount over the next 3 years.
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of stainless steel products including penstocks, stop logs, and screens.
- Manage production planning, performance monitoring, and ensure on-time delivery (OTD) targets are met.
- Implement Lean methodologies, 5S, and best manufacturing practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with clients for inspections and support audit processes.
- Report monthly KPIs to the senior management team.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on leader with a strong engineering background and a passion for manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a reputable engineering and fabrication manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 10–20 across planning, assembly, and technical roles.
- Knowledge of stainless steel and aluminium fabrication, including mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic assemblies.
- Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME, DIN, ISO, BIS.
- Experience with SAP and MS Office tools.
- A go-getter attitude with a commitment to quality, cost optimisation, and delivery performance.
