Our client is a leading manufacturing company, who as a result of some significant growth and internal changes need to recruit an ambitious and experienced Production Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Director you will lead and manage a small manufacturing team, and will be charged with ensuring they meet production targets within time, on cost and to the required quality levels. Specifically you shall;
- Implement and execute the manufacturing operational plan
- Manage and lead the people under your control in line with the company policies and standards, ensuring effective communications and development of your team
- Manage assembly costs within company budgets
- Report on assembly performance, improvements and operational issues.
- Improve HSE standards/practices
- Organise plant and resources to meet growing customer needs/targets
- Integrate with production planning and materials management to produce the plan to the highest quality and lowest possible cost
- Management of Quality control within the assembly function including problem solving and implementation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring and develop employee participation.
It is expected that you shall be an experienced manager, with a manufacturing/production background, have strong man management skills, and a demonstrable record of lean improvements.
