Personal Tax Assistant required for a highly-respected firm of Accountants and Advisers in Edinburgh. This role sits within a very friendly and motivated team, who work collaboratively to support and develop their tax technical knowledge and trusted client offering. They work on a hybrid basis, committing to the same in-office days to maximise team-working and support for all staff.

Reporting to management, you will work with a varied portfolio of clients including HNWI’s, partnerships, sole traders, investors and trusts. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing all aspects of tax administration and compliance work through to submission of tax returns
- Completing personal, partnership and trust tax returns and P11Ds for review
- Discussing individual tax affairs with clients in meetings, by e-mail and telephone
- Supporting the tax team with ad hoc client queries and internal projects
- Developing and maintaining tax technical knowledge
Coming from a technical background in personal tax, mixed-tax or general practice, you will have a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience gained in either UK accounting firm or in-house tax team of a UK legal firm. You will be an extremely organised individual with excellent communication skills. Study support can be offered to those keen to pursue ATT/CTA qualification, although this is not essential to succeed in this team.
