New opportunity for an experienced Pensions Solicitor to join one of Scotland's leading independent law firms as an Associate/Senior Associate or Director. Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in dealing with pensions law. The role offers hybrid working or could also be based from any of the firm's offices in Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen). Applicants from across the UK who would wish to work remote would also be considered.

This pensions team is known for being friendly and collegiate. They have an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally, for the high-quality service and advice they provide to trustee, employer and pension provider clients. The successful candidate will work alongside 2 partners in the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

Candidates should have experience in corporate transactional support work, and general pensions law experience, reflecting their level of qualification. Ideally, this will include experience of working on DB schemes, and knowledge of benefit and documentation issues and project work such as GMP equalisation and de-risking. Experience of advising on DC schemes and master trusts, and on contentious pensions matters, would be an advantage, but not essential. English and Scots law qualified lawyers are encouraged to apply.

You must have a passion for pensions law, be pragmatic and results focused, and be able to work as a key member of the team. Candidates must demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn
and to train others, excellent written and oral communication skills, and be determined to provide a first-class service to clients. The desire to work in a close-knit team and a strong work ethic are also essential.
