Lusona Financial Services have been retained by a well-regarded firm of chartered financial planners, with an office in Edinburgh. They have gone through a recent growth phase which has seen them take on a couple of new financial advisers. In turn, they are now looking for an additional paraplanner to help with the increased workload.
The business provides financial planning services to individuals, families and businesses across Scotland. They pride themselves on their status as independent financial advisers and on being able to offer bespoke financial solutions to their clients.
As a paraplanner, you will work as part of a close-knit team of financial advisers, paraplanners and IFA support consultants. Your role will involve performing research and analysis of financial products, producing suitability reports and performing complex tax calculations related to IHT & CGT.
As an employer, the company has a strong track record of training and developing staff. The training and development allows people to either grow within their existing role or to train into new positions within the organisation. A paraplanner will be rewarded financially as they become more technically proficient and the more highly qualified they become. If the paraplanners’ preferred career path is financial advice then they will be given the opportunity to train as a financial adviser.
It is essential that you have experience working as a paraplanner within a financial advice, wealth management or financial planning business. You must also be working through your professional exams, ideally having achieved your level 4 Certificate in Paraplanning or equivalent qualification via the CII, CISI or LIBF.
A salary of £32,000 to £40,000 has been budgeted for this role, beyond which there is a company bonus scheme and excellent benefits.
