Having grown considerably over the past 2 years, this leading local employer needs to appoint an ambitious Manufacturing Manager to lead and drive production operations, whilst developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the MD, you will be a pivotal member of the company, and be directly responsible for a team of between 35-50 permanent and temporary employees across a variety of skilled roles.

ey responsibilities within the role of Manufacturing Manager are:

• Actively participate in the annual Budget process of the plant
• Frequent review of current state for operational indicators for the areas of Production, Maintenance and Process Engineering,
• Gap analysis versus Budget and drive of corrective actions to ensure objectives are being met on a constant basis.
• Utilize adequate KPI’s to manage the objectives and provide monthly reporting on time
• Guarantee a safe working environment for all employees and visitors
• Support customer satisfaction though capable production processes, effective Problem solving and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
• Continuous interaction with other departments to ensure best practices are shared and applied throughout the operations area
• Drive the continuous improvement plan of the plant and support the company strategy
• Drive the planning & smooth start of new equipment in close coordination with other departments

It is expected that you shall have significant experience working in a management capacity within manufacturing/production environments, have experience of Continuous Improvement programmes which lead to enhanced efficiency and productivity. It goes without saying that you will have a clear understanding of scheduling and planning, as well as an ability to work to deadlines. You shall possess first class communication and leadership skills, and have a proven track record of staff development.
