Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the M&E design team by producing accurate, clear, and consistent 2D CAD drawings for mechanical and electrical building services projects. You’ll work closely with engineers, project leads, and fellow technicians to ensure drawings are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Produce, amend, and maintain 2D CAD drawings for Mechanical & Electrical building services.
  • Support engineers in preparing drawing packages for tender, construction, and as-built stages.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to company and industry standards.
  • Organise and manage drawing files using established naming conventions and internal systems.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated drawing outputs.
  • Assist in updating or modifying existing drawings as project requirements evolve.

 

 

Requirements

  • Proficient in 2D AutoCAD with experience in an M&E or Building Services environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services layouts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to established standards.
  • Experience working on building projects in a consultancy or contractor environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience producing schematics and standard details.
  • Familiarity with document control and CAD standards.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
