Manager – Asset & Wealth Management Regulatory Insights

London or Edinburgh | Hybrid Working

A rare opportunity to step into a genuinely high-profile regulatory insights role sitting at the intersection of financial services regulation, policy, strategy and market influence.

This position sits within a market-leading Financial Services Risk practice, focused on the evolving regulatory agenda impacting the Asset & Wealth Management sector.

The successful individual will operate as a visible subject matter expert—engaging not only with senior internal stakeholders, but also directly with:

  • C-suite client leadership teams
  • Regulators and policymakers
  • Industry trade associations
  • Senior figures across the wider FS market

This is not a back-office policy role. It is a commercially focused, externally facing position for someone who can interpret where regulation is going next—and articulate what that means for the market before others do.

The role

You’ll play a key role in shaping forward-looking regulatory insight across the Asset & Wealth Management landscape.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Horizon scanning emerging regulatory and supervisory developments
  • Producing high-quality thought leadership, insight papers, commentary and client publications
  • Advising internal stakeholders and client teams on evolving regulatory expectations
  • Acting as a subject matter expert across client engagements
  • Engaging with regulators, policymakers and trade bodies
  • Supporting client events, training sessions and market-facing initiatives
  • Helping shape commercially relevant propositions for the wider practice
  • Contributing to broader discussions around regulatory policy, supervision and market impact

The role combines deep technical understanding with strategic communication and market visibility.

What they’re looking for

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone currently working:

  • Within the regulatory insights / policy function of a major consulting or professional services firm, or
  • Within the regulator itself

Candidates should bring strong understanding of the regulatory and supervisory agenda impacting:

  • Wealth Management firms
  • Alternative investment structures
  • Conduct and supervisory risk frameworks

Areas of relevance may include:

  • FCA supervisory priorities
  • Advice Guidance Boundary Review
  • Asset valuation regulation
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Consumer Duty and value frameworks
  • Emerging conduct and governance expectations

The profile

The successful person will likely be:

  • A self-starter who naturally spots trends before others do
  • Commercially aware and intellectually curious
  • Comfortable operating with senior stakeholders and challenging conversations
  • An excellent writer and communicator
  • Confident presenting complex ideas clearly and credibly
  • Forward-looking in their thinking, particularly around technology and AI-enabled regulation

This team wants someone who embraces innovation—not someone threatened by it.
