Lusona Consultancy are partnered on behalf of a Iconic Brand in Glasgow as they recruit for a Management Accountant in the City Centre. Our client are looking for an ambitious and focused Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis offering a salary between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. This a newly created role, reporting to the Financial Controller and sits alongside a team of 5 in finance. Our client are a successful SME continuing to grow and will be responsible for the delivery of Management Accounting information across the UK within a multi-site environment. Our client offers an excellent opportunity for a Fully Qualified Accountant to be part of a commercial finance environment looking for the next step in their career. 

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the delivery of end-end monthly management accounts and performance analysis across a variety of entities. This role will combines management accounting and business partnering with operational stakeholders including P&L and balancesheet reconciliations, financial analysis and stock reconciliation. There will be a focus on commercial analysis and performance reporting from cost of sales to added value reporting involving engagement with a number of stakeholders across finance and operations. The role will also involve producing consolidated accounts for the region and managing cash-flow forecasting processes. 

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations with a strong focus on cost-saving opportunities.
• Reconcile insurance sales and prepare VAT returns
• Monthly management accounts production with presentation of results 
• Manage supplier payment runs.
• Prepare statutory year-end accounts and audit schedules.

This role will work closely with multiple managers, building trust and delivering clear, constructive insights to improve performance. The role would be suited to a First mover from practice or industry looking to develop their experience across data management/insight and management accounting.

• ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

• Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with managers at all levels.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills.
