We are currently recruiting for our client for a Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team.  The Management Accountant will play an important key role in delivering financial success whilst minimising financial risk to the business. This will involve preparing, distributing, and assisting to produce accurate financial and management accounting information on which financial decisions are based, as well as having an active involvement in partnering with other departments across the business.

The role will involve:

• Providing overall ad hoc analysis where necessary and communicating process improvements to stakeholders across the business
• Providing analysis on the overall analysis of monthly financials as well as monthly/quarterly reporting to the central corporate function
• Preparation of journal entries and focus on ensuring journals are processed accurately and timely for month-end deadlines
• Maintain tight control of financial performance through the preparation of accurate and timely quarterly rolling forecasts.
• Assisting with monthly P&L and balance sheet commentary and annual budgeting process
• Maintain control over balance sheet accounts ensuring accurate and substantiated reconciliations are prepared.
• Support the external audit as appropriate, assisting in the preparation of year-end audit files and statutory financial reports including completion of the annual corporation tax pack

To be considered for this role, you must be ideally working towards your professional exams ACCA, CIMA or ICAS, have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build a strong rapport with internal stakeholders to influence their decisions, and have advanced Excel skills.
