An exciting opportunity has become available for a Solicitor to join this investment management firm in Edinburgh as Legal Counsel. Applicants will have around 0-3 years of PQE gained in a Commercial or Corporate team, experience gained in both private practice or In-House would be considered.
The successful candidate will join a team of 8 which sits within the wider Legal team and focuses on Global Contracts and IMAs. Investment Management Agreement experience is not required as this is something that you will gradually be trained in over time.
You will provide business and solution-focussed advice across the business, including in relation to:
- Global client agreements
- Key commercial contracts across the group globally, both technology and other supplier contracts
- Ad hoc and strategic project work
- You will also be given opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills and to grow your own areas of expertise.
You will be a confident and articulate communicator capable of handling complex and time critical matters in a positive manner, and keen to embrace new technologies, geographies and solutions to support the business and manage legal risk. As well as providing thoughtful, commercial and pragmatic legal advice, you will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, supporting new business initiatives.
