Senior Management Accountant - Glasgow City Centre with hybrid working 

18-month contract

Lusona is supporting one of our global clients in the service sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Senior Management Accountant on a long-term contract. The successful candidate will be a key member of the group accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of global management accounts and other management and statutory financial information, with a focus on process improvement and ensuring that appropriate controls and reconciliations are maintained.

The main duties will include:

• Reviewing the monthly management accounts for overseas businesses and providing support to the local finance teams. Reviewing submitted balance sheet reconciliations for these offices and challenging them where required.
• Reviewing the business services functions results on a monthly basis to ensure FTE and costs are being reported correctly and managing the monthly reporting for these areas.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, with key responsibilities being WIP and profit and loss clearing accounts.
• Coordinating specific business functions' annual budgets.
• Liaising with departmental heads to ensure a full understanding and commentary on budget outputs and support periodic P&L forecasting as required.
• Supporting the year-end audit and statutory reporting responsibilities.
• Adhoc project support.

To be considered for this role, candidates must be fully qualified (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and a good understanding of UK GAAP and statutory reporting. Applicants will ideally have experience working in an international and multi-currency business, preferably within the professional services sector.
