Our client is seeking an Information Security Officer to join their Glasgow-based team on an initial fixed-term contract basis (5 months). There is potential that this contract could be extended, or made permanent thereafter.

Reporting directly to the Risk Manager, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the day-to-day operation of the Information Security Management System. You will be subject matter expert for all matters Information Security and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues, offering guidance, insights, and resolutions across the business.

This role would suit those with detailed knowledge of ISO27001/2 standard and experience of swift security and/or data incident response, investigations, and security risk management and mitigation. You will be confident at conducting risk assessments and maintaining the risk register, as well as contributing to IS management meetings, risk trackers and internal audit documentation. You will also provide insights and support with ad hoc security related assignments.

General understanding of UK/EU GDPR, DPIA, and data flow mapping would be advantageous. You must be highly organized, motivated and demonstrate excellent influencing and communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
