Financial Reporting Manager required for the expanding Tax Reporting team of this Glasgow based corporate.  This is an excellent opportunity for career minded Accountants with strong Financial Reporting, Audit or Tax experience who are keen to work in a challenging but rewarding commercial environment.

Working closely with the senior management team, these managerial opportunities combine both technical and managerial responsibility in ensuring deliverables for internal clients are met.  Your primary responsibilities will include review level responsibility for UK, EMEA or US companies to include:

• Being fully responsible for reviewing the analysis and calculations completed by the tax preparation team.
• Understanding the full tax compliance process at US Domestic, State and Local level (training will be provided)
• Collaborating with the  tax technology team, your team will be responsible for doing all testing on the tax processes.
• Supporting on status reporting and metrics
• Managing the daily responsibilities of IT Processes and performing system testing accordingly.
• Communicating any revisions to tax policies and procedures with key stakeholders within the business.
• Managing the resources and activities of the team, as well as managing and developing staff e.g. completing 1-1 reviews with team members
• Working overall to a timely and process driven manner to meet required standards

You will be a qualified Accountant with post qualified experience gained in Financial Reporting, Audit or Tax. You will be able to demonstrate competence of managing and motivating others coupled with a mindset towards continuously managing improving financial production process.  A Tax technical background is therefore not required as the role is orientated towards people and process. You will have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with the tax team as well as wider business stakeholders.
