Lusona has an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join our services client as Financial Controller for Change & Transformation . Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a varied role providing Finance Business Partnering and Project Accounting support to enterprise-wide projects and IT business teams. You will join the business at an exciting time of investment in technology, people and process.
This role is all about....
- Being the Finance Business partner for the CTO and Change Discretionary cost centres and any other allocated areas by the Head of Finance; ensuring all costs are spent within budget, deviations are recorded, and variances mitigated.
- Partner, guiding, and counseling project management teams through the project life cycle ensuring that financial considerations are addressed throughout.
- Understanding Project Demand and Supply views and reporting on both
- Ensuring project forecasts are accurate and reflect the true status of the project at a level that is appropriate based on their position in the project lifecycle.
- Developing and implementing financial controls, processes and reporting of project initiatives.
- Understanding, interpreting, and constructively challenging current business performance and practice, identifying and implementing initiatives to improve processes and deliver business performance objectives and commitments.
- To deputise for the Head of Finance in his absence regarding Project accounting matters.
About you…
You will be a qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience in Project Accounting in a commercial environment. In addition, you will possess the following skills/experience and personal attributes:

Salary up to £68,000 (DOE) + Group Benefits. Our client offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home four days out of five. You will however be required to work from their Carlisle office one day a week.
