Financial Controller – North Lanarkshire or Glasgow with hybrid working and occasional travel to other sites in Scotland
Salary – Up to £70k plus bonus
Lusona is working exclusively with an independent Scottish business in the service sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Controller. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will run the finance department, provide meaningful management information and work with the Operational Management team to support future growth and profitability.
The main responsibilities will include:
- As a member of the company’s senior management team, assist with setting business goals and setting the pathway for future growth and profitability
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and ensuring various group reporting requirements, including cash flow forecasts, are accurate and produced in line with group and business requirements
- Production of year-end statutory accounts and agreement to finalisation with external auditors/group
- Preparing and reviewing the annual budgets for the company and helping with writing the business plan
- Assisting the Management team and the Operations staff to improve decision-making and understanding by utilising the company’s IT resources to write reports and provide management information.
- Oversee the outsourced IT support team and rectify any internal issues
- Building good working relationships with external partners, including the Bank and Audit teams
To be considered for this role, candidates must be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS,) and have previous leadership and management experience, preferably gained in an owner-managed business or SME.
