Financial Controller – Glasgow with hybrid working

Salary – c£100,000 plus excellent benefits

Lusona is working exclusively with one of our Global clients in the service sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Controller. Our client is a market leader, and their finance function is going through a significant period of change to create a first-class accounting support service for key internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for running the finance function and manage three direct reports. The main remit will include:

  • Assessing the current team structure and ensuring the function has a highly capable team who are motivated and focussed on offering a first-class support service
  • Assessing and improving the effectiveness of financial processes and controls
  • Developing relationships with the senior management team and divisional managers to support business objectives
  • Overseeing the financial planning, analysis & reporting process to provide an effective and timely reporting service to support strong business growth plans
  • Working with the Technology team to automate manual processes and maximise the use of the company accounting system
  • Assisting with M&A activities including the integration of acquired businesses

It is essential that applicants are fully qualified, and have previous experience of managing a large finance team. The successful candidate will have a track record in leading teams through a significant period of change.

The client offers an excellent salary and rewards package, with a hybrid working option of three days in the office and two days at home.
