Financial Controller – West End of Glasgow
Salary up to £65k plus benefits
Lusona is working on an excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our leading client in the service sector. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Controller will oversee the running of a busy finance department, ensuring the team provide accurate financial and management information on a timely basis.
The main duties will include:
- Overseeing the running of a busy finance department including line management of two department managers
- Co-ordinating staff development and deliver staff appraisals, PDP’s and regular 1 to 1’s
- Assisting with the implementation of a new finance system
- Reviewing business processes impacting finance, liaising with other areas of the business to effect change where necessary
- Developing financial reporting to meet operational and customer requirements
- Partnering with senior management, providing key financial analysis and advice
- Day to day control over all aspects of P&L and Balance Sheet, including working capital management
- Delivering monthly reporting packs and projections for internal and external stakeholders within required deadlines
- Managing the customer and company budgets and forecasts within required deadlines
- Supporting the development of business cases for cost-saving and business growth initiatives
It is essential that applicants are fully Qualified, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS with a proven track record in managing a finance team through a period of change in a fast-paced organisation. Candidates must be able to demonstrate confidence and excellent interpersonal skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
The client HQ is in Glasgow, and they will offer a flexible working arrangement to split your time between the office and working from home.
