Join a dynamic team at our Edinburgh Banking client where you'll play a crucial role in delivering financial insights and supporting their trading position. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in trading product control, financial reporting, and market risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily P&L and monthly balance sheet reporting for trading desks.
  • Engage in ledger close, reconciliation, and financial reporting to maintain data integrity.
  • Prepare month-end accounting tasks and conduct thorough account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate on system improvements and process enhancements.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, driving high-quality and consistent reporting.

Skills & Experience:

  • Financial control experience with a focus on reporting, ledger management, and statutory compliance. Applicants also welcome from those working in practice, including audit.
  • Strong grasp of accounting standards.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a track record in process improvement.
  • Confidence in collaborating across business areas and handling regulatory requirements.
  • Willingness to learn
