Financial Control & Reporting Manager required for the Financial Control & Reporting team of our Edinburgh listed client. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly formed team which provides accounting for bespoke transactions, products and deals within the Commercial and Institutional area of the group, building controls and processes around this. You will work with stakeholders across the business to ensure the bespoke transactions in commercial are correctly accounted for and have the required controls around them.  In turn, you will have the opportunity to build a network across the commercial business and make a true difference to the business and its customers.

Day to day, you will…

• Review and challenge internal and external reporting and balance sheet substantiation
• Act as an internal customer relationship manager and effectively maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Complete value-added reporting and analysis to meet our customers’ needs
• Work with the team and centres of excellence to standardise processes and outputs and to undertake continuous improvement activity
• Utilise your knowledge of IFRS to support business transactions and the determination of their financial reporting outcomes

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant from practice or industry and commerce who has strong technical skills and attention to detail who has demonstrated that they can understand and interpret accounting standards.  You will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders in a changing environment. You will have up-to-date knowledge of accounting standard and can demonstrate an astute eye for detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
