Financial Control & Reporting Analyst required for the Finance team of our Edinburgh listed client. This is a newly created opportunity and is perfect for an ambitious and conscientious NQ CA /ACCA / CIMA / ACA coming from industry or practice. The role offers varied and interesting work, coupled with first class training and career advancement opportunities. You also have the option to WFH / remotely the majority of your working week should you choose to do so.
As a Financial Control & Reporting Analyst, you’ll help to deliver the balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, and internal and external reporting. You’ll also prepare management accounts, intercompany analysis and assist in the delivery of budgeting and forecasting.
Through the course of your work, you’ll also:
- be accountable for the integrity of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial
information
- Assist in establishing, documenting and following operating procedures which includes
controls to meet policy requirements

The skills you'll need
A recently/newly qualified accountant or someone with equivalent commercial experience. You’ll have experience of providing financial information for review, gained within a commercial environment. You will also bring:
- Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing key financial deliverables
- Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of statutory accounts production
- An understanding and knowledge of the financial control environment
- An astute eye for detail and the ability to investigate issues effectively
