Financial Accountant
Glasgow (Hybrid Working)
Salary up to £45K (DOE) + Benefits

Lusona are working with their client based in the service sector for the role of ‘Financial Accountant’. This is an all-encompassing role, where you will have responsibility ranging from managing the general ledger, managing the balance sheet and month end procedures, assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts, to continuous financial process improvement.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing the balance sheet (journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and month end procedures 
• Carrying out weekly cashflow forecasting
• Providing daily to monthly reporting/financial analysis to support the business
• Preparing VAT returns 
• Supporting the team with ad-hoc projects
• Collaborating with the wider team to streamline the financial systems and increase efficiency

The successful candidate will be a qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with previous experience within a similar role in industry. However, this could also be the perfect role for someone looking to transition from Accountancy Practice. Relevant candidates who are classified as qualified by experience or part qualified will also be considered. As such, your strengths will include carrying out financial reporting, cashflow forecasting, working with the balance sheet and above all, strong excel skills. Most importantly, you will be a self-starter, who is confident to work independently, but also has the ability to collaborate well as part of a wider team in order to continuously add value to the business.
