Do you have a strong analytical background and enjoy working with Operations teams to make a difference through numbers? We have an excellent opportunity with our client based in Clydebank for a Finance Analyst to join their growing finance team.

The role will involve working within a busy project environment and liaising with non-financial managers to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial performance on projects. The main duties will include:

• Providing project managers with advice and support in financially managing their project tenders and budgets
• Prepare and establish the Cost Breakdown Structure and Budget Elements which describe the full structure to be used in the Cost Control System and that align into the Work Breakdown Structure.
• Conduct reconciliation of forecasted and actual expenditures and the production of project accruals
• Ensure the timely coding, collection, analysis and reporting of all project expenditure, together with the budget holder(s).
• Ensure the monitoring and reporting of project.
• Conduct reconciliation of forecasted and actual expenditures and the production of project accruals.
• Produce short- and long-term cash flow projections in a continuous and timely manner.
• Produce audit reports and other audit information as required by internal & external audit teams.
• Prepare the Project Monthly Status Report in association with the Package Manager.
• Assisting the project managers in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts for their projects
• Preparing an accurate project monthly status report
• Preparation of ad-hoc internal and group reports and other duties as required

You will have an analytical background and ideally have some exposure to projects or costings, It is essential all candidates have strong MS Excel skills and are comfortable working with Pivots and V Look up’s.  Our client is happy to consider candidates who are Qualified by Experience and also candidates studying for their professional exams.
