Solicitor (NQ – 4 PQE) – Family Law

A leading UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor (NQ – 4 years’ PQE) to join its growing Family Law team in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative and supportive environment, working on a high-quality and varied caseload.
The Role
You will become part of a well-established and expanding family team, advising on a broad range of matters. The role offers exposure to both complex and sensitive work, including:
- Financial provision on separation and divorce
- Child-related cases (residence, contact disputes)
- Child relocation and international matters
- Adoption and surrogacy cases
- Sheriff Court work, including hearings and case preparation
You will work closely with colleagues on active cases, engaging directly with clients and providing clear, solution-focused advice from instruction through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, client-focused advice across family law matters
- Manage client relationships with empathy and professionalism
- Draft legal documents, prepare court materials, and support hearings
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver efficient and effective outcomes
- Contribute to business development initiatives and knowledge sharing
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 4 PQE) with a genuine interest in family law
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
