Job Type : Permanent with Hybrid Working (3&2)

Salary & Benefits : Salary up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + 10% Bonus, Private Medical, 34 days Annual leave and a 3.30 finish on a Friday

Our client are Glasgow based building contractor with a number of projects in the Dundee and Aberdeen area and they are keen to speak to experienced Construction Project Managers. 

You will have a team of 4 Site Managers working across 3 key projects and you will have autonomy to run and deliver the projects which includes the retrofit

of flatted developments with a focus on EWI.  A key element to working for this contractor is their approach to employees, their careers and their welfare. Care and attention are paid to onboarding, training, support and 2 way dialogue where your voice will be heard. The company are in an exciting phase of growth following the ongoing execution of their strategic plan.

  • Strong capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Skilled in identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in managing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage conflict and negotiate effectively.
  • Capable of making informed decisions under pressure.
  • Analytical approach to solving complex project or contract issues.

Day to day you will : 

 

  • Manage all contractual and fiscal aspects of your assigned construction sites ensuring projects are delivered to programme and within budget. 
  • Importantly you will ensure your sites adhere to health and safety standards at all times. 
  • You will provide support and coach your Site Managers to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to successfully implement the project and deliver ‘quality as standard’ guarantee.   
  • You work in partnership with multiple departments and stakeholders within the business to ensure the effective management of your projects. 

You will be able to demonstrate :

On a day to day basis you will  : 

  • Collaborate with cross functional Stakeholders
  • Attend and contribute to handover meetings
  • Review site commercial plans
