This global law firm has an exciting new opportunity for a Solicitor to join the Energy Transactions team based in Edinburgh. Applicants will ideally have a minimum of 2 years of relevant PQE.

The team carries out a wide range of top tier and high value project and finance work, including energy project development work, energy regulation, renewable energy finance and M&A, energy efficiency and low carbon advisory mandates. Clients consist of a number of utilities, UK and international banks, large energy users, renewable energy developers, oil and gas/energy companies, infrastructures funds and private equity. The work of the team has an increasingly international flavour given both inward investment and also clients looking to invest in international markets which will involve working with colleagues in other international offices.

This is a transactional role, with a large amount of client contact and the opportunity to specialise in a strategic and diverse industry sector. 

The energy team excels in advising on project finance transactions, project-related M&A, strategic joint ventures, energy trading and regulatory matters. The team is jointly led by 2 Partners with expertise in joint ventures, project acquisitions and development in addition to renewables and cleantech projects.

Experience in a similar Energy role would be preferred, however candidates with a background in corporate, banking or construction/projects and a genuine desire to develop a specialism within this sector are also invited to apply!
