Due to growth, a new opportunity has been created for a Solicitor to join the Energy team within this international law firm, based in Edinburgh.

Working alongside the Infrastructure Project Finance team, the role will involve providing due diligence on project documents for lender and investor clients, as well as working directly with developers in respect of the financing, investing and development and management of renewables and alternative energy projects.

The team work on all aspects of a project and can be involved from initial development, funding, construction, operation, right up to the sale of a project. The main focus is on the review and/or negotiation and drafting of project documents in relation to grid connection, PPAs, Supply, construction, management, O&M as well as guidance on applicable government schemes and policies for the relevant technology (from wind, solar, hydro, to gas peaker, CHP, battery, and AD plants).

Direct experience in the energy, and particularly renewables sector, would be ideal, but is not a necessity and other relevant experience in construction, projects/infrastructure, banking, corporate/commercial or commercial property would all be considered.
