Our client is a leading global equipment maker, who need to appoint an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to their team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you shall play a key role in the ongoing design program for the firms dynamic range of products. The work will encompass the complete scope of contract control system design (all hardware specification/implementation) on LV systems for industrial machinery. Incorporating build management (including all BOM data), customer/supplier liaison, generation of all wiring diagrams/cable schedules/field device lists/P&ID,  testing, commissioning support, aftermarket modifications and product development.

The role demands a comprehensive understanding of MCC design of various sizes and complexity as well as a meticulous approach to contract work with regards planning, time-management, problem-solving and contractor/supplier management. You will need to attend and participate in any operational/engineering review meetings; as well as contribute to all relevant discussions on control system design to be reported to the senior management team. All equipment will require the completion of pre-delivery-inspections/tests and preparation/generation of relevant engineering report documentation to support the contracts and aid the installation & commissioning engineers. There will be occasional site/customer visits across the EMEA region.

It is expected that you will be a trained/qualified electrical engineer (ideally holding an HNC/HND/Degree) with good communication skills , ideally qualified to 17th/18th Ed, and have a demonstrable background in electrical control system design.  You will also be proficient in the use of AutoCAD Electrical.
