Lusona is recruiting an experienced Infrastructure Tax Senior Manager to join a highly regarded specialist transaction tax team.
This is an opportunity to advise major infrastructure funds, investors and businesses deploying capital across some of the most important areas of the economy – including energy, renewables, utilities and other major infrastructure assets.
You'll operate as a strategic tax adviser rather than simply a technical specialist, helping clients assess investments, structure transactions, manage risk and implement acquisitions and disposals.
The role
You will take a leading role across complex UK and international transactions, including:
- Leading Tax Due Diligence reviews
- Identifying tax exposures and advising on their implications for transactions
- Providing acquisition and disposal structuring advice
- Advising on Corporation Tax, withholding tax and payroll considerations
- Reviewing tax assumptions within financial models
- Supporting pre-acquisition restructuring
- Developing and implementing post-deal tax planning
- Managing relationships with investors and other senior stakeholders
- Coordinating specialist tax and international input
- Leading and developing junior team members
- Supporting proposals, market updates and wider business development activity
Person specification
You are likely to possess:
- ACA/CA/ACCA and/or CTA qualification, international equivalent or comparable experience
- Strong transaction tax and/or Corporate Tax advisory experience
- Experience of Tax Due Diligence and transaction structuring
- Exposure to tax modelling and/or Vendor Assistance
- Strong project management skills
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent client relationship, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders
Exposure to infrastructure, energy, PFI, funds flow, SPA reviews or post-deal implementation would be particularly valuable.
