Cyber Security Manager
Salary up to £80K (DOE) + Benefits

Lusona are working with our Professional Services client to source suitable candidates for the role of Cyber Security Manager. Collaborating with other members of the team, you will oversee the security solutions for the business on an end-to-end basis, from implementing policies, training procedures, and overseeing respective audits. This is an exciting time to be joining our client as you will have the opportunity to implement cyber security changes across the business as the team and role evolves even further. 

Within this role, you will have 1 direct report, where your main responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing additional policies and procedures to ensure electronic security across the business
• Managing enquiries relating to information security
• Carrying out analysis and gathering relevant evidence for any security violations
• Developing processes for the security control of IT systems and environments, as well as overseeing the deployment and end to end process of these solutions
• Continuously promoting internal controls and risk management across IT security
• Analysing the development of the business’ disaster recovery plan
• Supporting any ongoing and future security strategies and plans

Applicants will ideally be degree qualified within computer science and have proven experience working across cyber security. For example, understanding the impacts of security threats on a business and how this impacts corresponding IT hardware and software. You will also have strong expertise in cloud-based tools and systems used to provide security controls. Overall, you will have a strong understanding of IT security best practices including ISO27001. As such, applicants are expected to hold one of the many security related certifications (e.g., Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP) etc. This opportunity would suit an experienced manager who still enjoys being technically hands-on or alternatively someone who is particularly hands on and has the ambition and ability to take a step up.
