Edinburgh or Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Up to £70,000 + Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Work with some of the world's leading investment managers. Broaden your advisory experience. Take your corporate tax career in an exciting new direction.
Lusona is working with a leading global professional services firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager into its expanding Financial Services Tax team in Scotland.
The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) practice is experiencing sustained double-digit year-on-year growth, driven by the increasing accessibility of investment products to retail investors, the development of new investment structures and the continued trend towards outsourcing complex corporate tax compliance.
This growth is creating excellent opportunities for corporate tax professionals looking for greater variety, exposure to major international clients and the chance to develop their advisory and commercial skills.
You do not need previous Asset & Wealth Management experience. The team welcomes applications from corporate tax professionals across different sectors who have experience working with large or complex clients, including those currently working in-house who may be interested in returning to practice.
The Opportunity
This is a varied, client-facing role combining corporate tax advisory, oversight of complex compliance engagements, data-driven insights and relationship management.
Working closely with experienced Partners, Directors and Senior Managers, you will:
- Develop your corporate tax advisory expertise: Work on a broad range of UK and international tax matters, including corporate restructuring, transactions, international structuring and wider commercial advisory projects.
- Turn compliance into valuable client insight: Manage and oversee outsourced corporate tax compliance engagements, reviewing outputs, maintaining quality and governance, and using client data to identify tax risks, opportunities and areas where additional advice could add value.
- Get involved in tax transformation: Help clients improve their tax reporting, processes and controls, gaining exposure to automation, AI and emerging technologies that are changing how tax services are delivered.
- Build relationships with major clients: Act as a key point of contact for high-profile UK and multinational organisations, developing an understanding of their businesses, commercial priorities and tax challenges.
- Develop your leadership skills: Manage and support junior colleagues, coordinate the delivery of client engagements and contribute to the continued growth of a highly successful tax team.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are interested in speaking with qualified CA, ACA, ACCA or CTA professionals (or equivalent) with strong UK corporate tax experience.
You might currently be:
- A Corporate Tax Manager within a Big Four or Top 20 firm.
- An experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager who is ready to take the next step.
- An in-house corporate tax professional looking to return to practice and broaden their experience.
Ideally, you'll have experience working with large or complex organisations, whether through corporate tax compliance, advisory, tax reporting or a combination of these areas.
You don't need to be an expert in every aspect of the role. The team is particularly interested in individuals with strong technical foundations, good commercial awareness and the ambition to develop.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Broaden your experience: Move beyond traditional corporate tax compliance into a varied role encompassing advisory, client management, data insights and tax transformation.
Exceptional client exposure: Work with some of the world's largest asset managers and financial institutions, gaining experience of complex international businesses and commercially significant tax matters.
Develop your advisory career: Benefit from direct exposure to experienced Partners, Directors and Senior Managers who will support your technical and professional development.
A genuinely supportive team culture: Join a collaborative, ambitious team that values its people, encourages knowledge sharing and provides opportunities to take on greater responsibility.
Excellent career prospects: Become part of a rapidly growing practice, with opportunities to develop your skills, expand your responsibilities and progress towards Senior Manager and beyond.
