New opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join the successful Corporate Tax team of this well-known CA firm following a series of client wins. Joining the Scottish tax practice, this role is offered on a hybrid-working basis with the option to work from Glasgow or Edinburgh office 3 days per week.
The team works on an impressive range of tax compliance and advisory work for OMB's and large and/or multi-national corporate clients from a vast range of sectors, including engineering, technology, manufacturing, retail and professional services. As such, no two days will be the same.
The role
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients and ensuring delivery of trusted corporate tax compliance services
- Supporting with related advisory matters and specialist projects (e.g. capital allowances, R&D, Transfer Pricing, re-orgs, M&A and international tax matters)
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building rapport and responding to tax-related queries
- Working with colleagues across different specialisms and disciplines to enhance client service delivery
- Maintaining and developing your commercial and tax technical acumen
Requirements
- CA/CTA/ACCA qualified with demonstrable experience of working in UK Corporate tax within accountancy practice
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
